Investigator case notes

The Dahu is a shy, goat-like creature said to roam the steep slopes of the Alps. Agents describe it as a chamois-sized animal with thick brown fur, curved horns and a very odd secret: the legs on one side of its body are shorter than the legs on the other. That lets it stand steady on a mountain, but only if it always walks around the peak in the same direction. Mountain guides have long told newcomers that the Dahu can be caught by waiting at night with a sack while friends chase it your way. Agency note: nobody has ever caught one, and the sack-holder usually ends up alone in the dark.
